Capability Software ELA Manager/ Coordinator

Job Profile/ Summary
Software ELA Manager/ Coordinator plays a pivotal role in implementation of DXC’s
Business and Strategic goals with our suppliers. Candidate should be able to provide expertise on Enterprise License contract, Software Asset Management, Software Lifecycle
Management including analyzing utilization under ELA, software requests and future use forecasting, license pooling/checks, deployment, and retirement.
Skills
Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Demonstratable experience within the datacenter licensing arena for vendors such as but not limited to IBM, Oracle, Veritas, CA-Broadcom, VMWare, AWS, Microfocus, etc.
Strong software contract modeling skills.
Robust skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Project, and Visio.
Ability to interact and manage suppliers pertaining to all matters of software licensing.
Ability to meet project objectives within designated constraints.
Stakeholder management.
Educational Qualification Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred.
Certifications Preferable if certified in one or more of the following certifications: SAM, IAITAM, ITIL,
ITAM, CSAM, ISO, CITAM, CHAMP, CAMP-II
Experience Level 12-15 years industry experience and minimum 8-years in software ELA management
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Coordinate software license and maintenance agreement reviews.
Maintain software standards, validated product lists, and maintenance contracts.
Analyze large volume of software entitlement and deployment data.
Manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation.
Build and manage complex licensing models and optimize our license usage based on key license drivers (headcount, volume, utilization, etc.)
Evaluate licensing options, named versus processor licensing, on premise versus cloud,
owned versus SAAS, and provide recommendations.
Provide contract-related issue resolution, both internally and externally.
Monitor and support contract close-out, extension, renewal negotiations and contracting processes.
Establish and maintain a process/framework for tracking, maintenance and support of licenses and assets including ongoing control and governance along with robust communication to appropriate teams.
Support licenses spend forecasting, ordering and invoicing processes.
Software licenses spend cross-charging to functions/ accounts using them.
Oversee the short-term and long-term strategic management of software and technology related hardware within the organization.
Works with senior management and supply chain management functions to review technology (hardware/software), expenses, and vendor license agreements.
Maintain inventory/ Software asset management
Must have IT background (at least good technical understanding of IT services)
Experience in handling Software Enterprise License Agreements or SAAS Agreements.
Positive to have Demonstratable experience of utilizing SAM system.
