Role Description The EHS Safety Team Leader (Construction Industry) is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane, responsible for leading workplace safety and environmental health initiatives across construction projects. This role involves planning and implementing EHS policies, conducting regular site inspections, identifying hazards, and recommending corrective and preventive actions.

The EHS Safety Team Leader will coordinate and deliver safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for site personnel and subcontractors. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring compliance with local regulations and company standards, maintaining safety documentation and reports, supporting incident investigations,



and collaborating with project managers and clients to drive a strong safety culture. The role also requires proactive engagement with stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement in occupational health, environmental practices, and overall site safety performance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Setting Health and Safety (EHS) and Health & Safety skills, with experience in implementing safety programs in construction environments.
- Candidates should possess Environmental Awareness and Occupational Health skills, including knowledge of relevant regulations, risk assessment, and control measures.
- Candidates should possess Training skills, with the ability to design and deliver safety training sessions, workshops, and toolbox talks for diverse site teams.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in EHS, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field are beneficial.
- Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) and familiarity with national safety codes and construction safety standards are an advantage.
- Proven experience in leading safety teams, conducting audits and inspections, and managing incident reporting and investigation processes is preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, along with proficiency in safety documentation and basic computer applications, are important for success in this role.
