Job Summary:

We are looking for a consultant – EHS to provide specialized consultancy and technical guidance on Workplace, Health & Safety (EHS) systems at mining/project operations, with focus on statutory compliance, risk management, occupational health, environmental protection and sustainable practices. The role will provide technical inputs to project and engineering teams for maintaining safe operations, developing HSE procedures and SOPs, and recommending measures for continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.

Key Technical Skills:

- Strong knowledge of EHS Management Systems, OHSAS/occupational safety standards, and applicable regulations.

- Expertise in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Waste Management, and risk assessment.

- Knowledge of dust emission, water and energy consumption, solid waste utilization, and green belt development.

- Experience in sustainability initiatives and environmental improvement projects.

- Proficiency in relevant EHS software and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with applicable Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.

- Conduct risk assessments, safety assessments, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).

- Develop, implement and monitor HSE policies, programs, SOPs, and procedures.

- Manage Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, and Waste Management activities.

- Maintain EHS systems, configurations, and operational procedures.





- Support Engineering & Project teams in implementing environmental improvement initiatives.

- Promote continuous improvement in EHS performance and sustainable practices.

Educational Qualification:

- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Environmental Engineering, Civil, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering, Geology or equivalent.

- Diploma in Industrial Safety from reputed institutions (CLI/RLI/NITs/NITIE or State Board-recognized PG Diploma) preferred.

Experience:

- Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in the mining industry Post education completion.

- Minimum 5 years’ overall experience in relevant technical areas, including mining plan preparation.

- Officers with minimum 5 years’ experience in Central/State Mining Departments, Organizations, Research Institutes, Universities/Colleges may also be considered for relevant roles.

- Experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the mining industry.
