Role & responsibilities

EHS, Compliance & Safety

- Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS and statutory requirements, including TNPCB, DISH, Fire & Rescue Services, CEIG, DTCP and other regulatory authorities.
- Manage statutory licenses, consents, approvals, renewals, registers, inspections and regulatory submissions.
- Implement and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, including internal/external audits, management reviews and CAPA closure.
- Lead HIRA, JSA, Permit-to-Work, LOTO, contractor safety and high-risk activity controls.
- Drive accident prevention, SIF/Fatality Prevention, safety inspections, near-miss reporting and proactive safety programs.
- Lead incident investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions.
- Maintain Emergency Response Plans and conduct periodic mock drills for fire, chemical spills, medical and other emergencies.
- Conduct EHS training, employee engagement and safety awareness programs to strengthen site safety culture.

Environment & Sustainability

- Manage environmental compliance covering air emissions, effluent, hazardous waste, chemical management, water, energy and waste disposal.
- Manage applicable EPR compliance, authorized waste vendors and environmental documentation.
- Drive energy efficiency, GHG emission reduction, renewable energy, water conservation, recycling and waste-reduction initiatives.
- Collect, validate and report EHS and sustainability performance data to corporate stakeholders.
- Support Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 GHG accounting, ESG reporting, LCA and Product Carbon Footprint initiatives, as applicable.
- Develop and monitor environmental and sustainability KPIs against corporate targets.

Maintenance,



Engineering & Utilities

- Lead overall mechanical, electrical, utility, facility and infrastructure maintenance activities.
- Develop and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and availability.
- Monitor equipment performance through PM compliance, downtime, MTBF, MTTR and repeat breakdown analysis.
- Lead RCA for major equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Ensure reliable operation of electrical systems, compressors, HVAC, water systems, fire protection systems and other plant utilities.
- Manage electrical safety and CEIG compliance, including preventive maintenance and statutory inspections.
- Plan shutdown maintenance, critical spare requirements, AMCs and maintenance service contracts.
- Lead engineering, safety, sustainability and energy-efficiency improvement projects.
- Manage contractors and vendors for maintenance and engineering activities with solid EHS controls.
- Prepare and control EHS and maintenance budgets, optimizing cost without compromising safety, compliance or equipment reliability.
