Qualification: Diploma in EEG / Neurophysiology / Electroencephalogram (EEG) Technology or equivalent qualification.
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Neurodiagnostic Technician to join our Neurology Department. The technician will be responsible for performing neurodiagnostic investigations and assisting neurologists in accurate recording and monitoring of neurological activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform EEG (Electroencephalogram) procedures, including routine and sleep EEG.
- Prepare patients, explain procedures and ensure proper positioning and comfort.
- Apply and maintain scalp electrodes accurately as per standard protocols.
- Record, monitor and maintain high-quality EEG data.
- Perform EMG (Electromyography) and NCV/NCS (Nerve Conduction Studies) as per department requirements.
- Assist in Evoked Potential (EP) studies such as VEP, BERA/BAEP and SSEP, where applicable.
- Assist with long-term/video EEG monitoring and other neurophysiological investigations.
- Ensure proper functioning, calibration and basic maintenance of EEG/EMG equipment.
- Maintain accurate patient records,
reports and investigation data.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety and hospital protocols.
- Coordinate with neurologists and other healthcare professionals during investigations.
- Handle equipment and electrodes safely and maintain the cleanliness of the procedure area.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of EEG, EMG and NCV/NCS procedures.
- Basic understanding of neurophysiology and neurological disorders.
- Good patient-handling and communication skills.
- Ability to identify technical artefacts and obtain quality recordings.
- Ability to work independently as well as with the Neurology team.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma in EEG / Neurodiagnostic Technology / Neurophysiology Technology or relevant qualification.
- Freshers with relevant qualification may be considered.
- Experience in EEG/EMG/NCV will be an added advantage.
