DTP Operator cum Typist – Job DescriptionJob Summary A DTP Operator cum Typist is responsible for typing, formatting, designing, and preparing documents and digital files for school-related print and digital requirements. The role requires excellent typing speed and accuracy, along with proficiency in desktop publishing and basic graphic design tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform fast and accurate typing of letters, notices, circulars, reports, question papers, certificates, and other school documents.
- Create and format documents using desktop publishing and office software.
- Design page layouts with text, images, tables, and graphics.
- Ensure correct alignment, spacing, fonts, formatting, and overall presentation.
- Prepare print-ready files in PDF and other required formats.
- Proofread typed content and correct spelling, formatting, and layout errors.
- Handle image resizing, basic editing, and formatting when required.
- Prepare school notices, brochures, certificates, worksheets, forms, and other printed materials.
- Maintain consistency in fonts, layouts, and school branding.
- Coordinate with teachers, departments, administration, and printing vendors.
- Make corrections and revisions based on management requirements.




- Maintain and organize digital files and documents.
- Ensure all documents are completed accurately and within deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Excellent typing speed and accuracy – Mandatory.
- Proficiency in English typing is essential.
- Good knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and DTP software.
- Knowledge of software such as CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, or similar DTP tools.
- Good understanding of fonts, typography, alignment, spacing, and page layout.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design and image editing.
- Knowledge of printing and prepress processes is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Educational Requirements

- Diploma / Certificate in Desktop Publishing, Graphic Design, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in DTP, typing, school office documentation, or print production is preferred.

Key Requirement

High typing speed and accuracy are mandatory for this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,001.07 per month
