We are hiring an experienced Drill Machine Operator to operate drilling machines for machining and fabrication of engineering components. The candidate should have knowledge of drilling operations, engineering drawings, cutting tools, and measuring instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up Drill Machine / Radial Drill Machine / Pillar Drill Machine.
- Perform drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking and related operations.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Select appropriate drill bits, cutting tools and machining parameters.
- Set and align workpieces accurately before machining.
- Check hole dimensions and locations using Vernier, Micrometer,
Bore Gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain required accuracy and surface finish.
- Handle heavy components safely during loading and unloading.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams.
- Follow machine safety procedures and maintain workplace housekeeping.
Preferred Experience: 2–8 years of experience as a Drill Machine Operator / Radial Drill Operator in heavy engineering, machine manufacturing or fabrication industries.
