Draftsman – and Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a talented Draftsman to join our team at JEPL, to provide innovative material handling solutions. The candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and layouts that support the design and manufacturing of material handling equipments. He will work closely with design engineers and project managers to ensure that all designs meet functional, safety, and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Drawings: Prepare and modify detailed drawings, layouts, and schematics for material handling systems and equipment using CAD software.

Collaboration: Collaborate with design, project and production teams to translate concepts into actionable drawings that align with project specifications and client needs.

 Design Modifications: Revise and update existing drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers, and clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

 Documentation Management: Maintain a comprehensive filing system for all drafts and revisions, ensuring that all documentation is organized and easily accessible.

 Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to ensure precision,

completeness, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

 Site Assessments: Participate in site visits to gather information and insights to inform design modifications and ensure designs fit actual conditions.

 Client Interaction: Assist in presenting design concepts and solutions to clients,

incorporating their feedback into project revisions.

 Continuous Learning: Stay current with advancements in material handling technologies and drafting techniques to enhance productivity and design quality.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

 Education: Diploma / BE / B.Tech (Mechanical Only).

 Experience: 3+ years of experience in drafting,



particularly in engineering or manufacturing environments related to material handling.

 Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks software and familiarity with 3D modeling tools is a must.

 Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings.

 Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

 Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to address design challenges and propose effective solutions.

 DETAILS:-

 No. of positions to be filled – 2

 Budget – 3+ years of experience: Offered CTC up to 4 LPA.

 The compensation will also depend on the candidate’s current/past CTC and experience relevancy in our industry.

 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Willingness to travel outstation to customer sites for meetings, site assessments,

presentations, and project support.

 May require working under tight deadlines to meet project timelines.

 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a agile team environment.

 Immediate Joiners / 15-20 days’ notice period candidates preferred.

 INTERVIEW PROCESS: -

 Once the list of suitable candidates is shared with us, we will shortlist the candidate profiles for the interview process.

 The shortlisted candidates are required to physically attend the face-to-face round of interview at our office in Pune.

 After the face-to-face round of interview, the final list of selected candidates will be shared, and the offer will be released.
