Role & responsibilities

.NET Developer

GrainSuite ERP Ecosystem

Role focus: ERP application and API delivery across the GrainSuite ecosystem, integrating .NET services, PowerBuilder applications, SAP, and enterprise data platforms.

Role Purpose The .NET Developer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and delivering solutions within Bunge's GrainSuite ERP ecosystem. GrainSuite consists of multiple integrated .NET and PowerBuilder applications that support critical business processes across the enterprise.

This role works closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, PowerBuilder developers, SAP functional teams, QA engineers, architects, and integration resources to deliver recent capabilities, APIs, integrations, and process improvements. The developer participates throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements elaboration, solution design, development, testing, code review, deployment, and modernization initiatives.

The role contributes to Bunge's technology modernization efforts through Azure DevOps, Git-based development, CI/CD, automated testing, cloud-ready architecture, and enterprise-approved AI-assisted development practices.

Primary Responsibilities

.NET Application Development

- Design, develop, and enhance .NET applications and services within the GrainSuite ERP ecosystem.
- Develop maintainable, secure, and testable application components using Bunge-approved .NET technologies and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Deliver new functionality, process automation, and improvements across interconnected ERP applications.
- Participate in technical design reviews and solution architecture discussions.

API and Integration Development
- Design, build, document, and maintain .NET APIs and services used by PowerBuilder applications, SAP, and other enterprise systems.
- Develop REST-based integrations with appropriate validation, error handling, logging, and security controls.
- Partner with PowerBuilder developers, integration teams, and architects to define interface contracts, data mappings, and reusable service patterns.
- Contribute to the continued separation of reusable business capabilities from application-specific implementations where appropriate.





Data and Database Development
- Develop data access components and database integrations supporting GrainSuite applications and services.
- Create and optimize queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and related database objects as needed for .NET solutions.
- Perform data analysis and performance tuning across application and integration workflows.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and adherence to enterprise database standards.

ERP Ecosystem Collaboration
- Work across the .NET and Citrix-hosted PowerBuilder application landscape as part of a connected ERP ecosystem.
- Coordinate changes that span multiple GrainSuite applications, APIs, databases, SAP processes, or shared services.
- Identify integration dependencies and communicate design impacts, assumptions, and delivery risks.
- Ensure solutions support consistent business processes across the broader GrainSuite environment.

Agile Delivery
- Work within Agile teams using Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint planning, development tracking, and reporting.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Provide development estimates and communicate delivery risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Collaborate closely with QA resources to deliver testable, high-quality solutions.

Engineering Excellence and Modernization
- Follow enterprise coding standards, Git branching strategies, pull request workflows, and peer code review practices.
- Build and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests appropriate to the solution.
- Use CI/CD practices to improve the consistency and repeatability of build and deployment activities.
- Use enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools and accelerators to improve productivity, documentation, and software quality.
- Participate in modernization initiatives that improve maintainability, scalability, integration, and developer productivity.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,



Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- 2+ years of professional .NET development experience.
- Experience developing enterprise applications, APIs, and services using C# and the .NET platform.
- Experience designing or consuming REST APIs and integrating multiple enterprise applications.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL development, and data access patterns.
- Experience with Git-based source control and peer code review.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within ERP ecosystems containing multiple integrated applications.
- Experience integrating .NET solutions with PowerBuilder applications or other legacy application platforms.
- Experience with SAP-integrated business processes.
- Experience with Azure DevOps for source control, work management, CI/CD, and reporting.
- Experience with automated unit, integration, and regression testing.
- Experience with application security, API security, structured logging, and monitoring practices.
- Exposure to GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted software development tools.
- Experience participating in application modernization or migration initiatives.
