Responsible for operation, setup, programming, maintenance and troubleshooting of DMTG VMC machines used for precision machining of components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up DMTG VMC machines.
- Perform milling, drilling, tapping, boring, facing and contouring operations.
- Tool setting, tool offset correction and workpiece alignment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Handle CNC controls such as Fanuc / Siemens, depending on machine configuration.
- Perform tool changes and set appropriate cutting parameters.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and dimensional measurement.
- Troubleshoot CNC, mechanical, electrical and tooling-related issues.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance where required.
- Maintain production and machine records.
