Role Description The Director of Land Acquisition is a full-time, on-site role based in Patna, responsible for overseeing all activities related to securing land for road and associated infrastructure projects. This role manages the end-to-end land acquisition process, including identification of required parcels, coordination with government departments and local stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and policies.

Day-to-day tasks include leading negotiations with landowners, supervising due diligence activities, reviewing legal and technical documentation, and resolving land-related issues that may affect project timelines. The Director will collaborate closely with engineering, planning, legal,



and finance teams to align land acquisition strategies with project objectives and budgets. The role also involves monitoring progress, preparing reports for senior leadership, and implementing risk mitigation measures to ensure timely and transparent acquisition.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Contract Negotiation and Acquisitions, with the ability to secure land and related rights in a fair, compliant, and efficient manner.
- Solid knowledge of Land Use Planning and Land Development principles, particularly in the context of infrastructure and road projects.
- Proficiency in conducting Due Diligence, including legal, regulatory, and title verification for land parcels.
- Extensive experience working with government agencies, local authorities, and community stakeholders on land-related matters.
- In-depth understanding of relevant land acquisition laws, regulations, and policies applicable in Bihar and at the national level.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive negotiations.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities, including experience with project planning and risk management.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law, Civil Engineering, Urban/Regional Planning, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience in senior-level roles in land acquisition, infrastructure development, or public sector projects is highly beneficial.
