- Direct Reports: Individual contributor at present; may build out FP&A; / reporting analysts over time
4. Role Summary:
The Director – Corporate Finance owns the strategic and capital side of the finance function – planning and analysis, management and board reporting, investor relations, treasury and funding, and grant and corporate-development finance. Reporting to the CFO and operating as a peer to the Director – Financial Controller, the role converts the company’s financial position into decision-ready insight for the CFO, board and investors, and secures the funding and liquidity that support Immuneel’s commercial (Qartemi) and clinical (CD19-ALL, BCMA) programmes.
5. Key Responsibilities:
1. Own annual budgeting, monthly forecasting / reforecasting and FP&A; – variance analysis, scenario modelling and cash-runway tracking across commercial, clinical and R&D.;
2. Prepare the monthly MIS and the management and board reporting pack, built on the trial balance handed over by Controllership.
3. Own investor relations and investor reporting – periodic updates, data-room upkeep, and ad-hoc investor and board requests.
4. Manage treasury and cash, and execute funding – including term-loan drawdowns and covenant tracking – and support the CFO on FEMA / RBI filings and capital structuring.
5. Own grant financials and claims (BIRAC, PRIP) and provide finance support to licensing and corporate-development transactions and any other activity assigned time to time.
6. Primary Objectives:
1. Timely, accurate, board-ready reporting – MIS and board pack delivered each month, fully reconciled to the trial balance.
2. Reliable planning and liquidity – budget and forecast within agreed tolerance, with no surprise cash-runway or covenant misses.
3. Investor and capital readiness – investor requests met within agreed SLAs; funding drawdowns and grant claims executed on schedule.
7. Competencies Required:
- Technical Competencies:
1. FP&A;, budgeting,
forecasting and financial modelling; robust command of Ind AS, MIS and management reporting.
2. Treasury, fundraising and debt management (term loans, covenants), with working knowledge of FEMA / RBI and Companies Act compliance.
3. Investor reporting and grant / statutory finance (BIRAC / PRIP exposure preferred); advanced Excel and ERP (SAP / PowerBI ) proficiency.

8. Qualifications:
1. CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA or equivalent, with 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, including a senior corporate-finance or FP&A; leadership role.
2. Proven experience in FP&A;, management / board reporting and investor relations, ideally in biotech / pharma / life-sciences or a similarly regulated, capital-intensive sector.
3. Hands-on exposure to fundraising, treasury and Indian regulatory finance (FEMA / RBI, Companies Act); experience in a grant-funded environment (BIRAC / PRIP) an advantage.
