Digital Media & Content Specialist – Roles & Responsibilities

Role Overview:

We are looking for an energetic and creative Digital Media & Content Specialist to manage the school’s day-to-day visual content, social media presence, and digital storytelling. The candidate will be responsible for capturing classroom activities, school events, student achievements, and campus life while creating engaging content for various social media platforms.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Plan, capture, and edit daily photos and short-form videos showcasing classroom activities, events, celebrations, competitions, and student achievements.
- Create engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook videos, and other short-form content based on current trends.
- Manage and regularly update the school’s Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other relevant social media channels.
- Develop a daily/weekly content calendar aligned with school activities, events, campaigns, admissions, and institutional priorities.
- Write creative and engaging captions, headlines, descriptions, hashtags, and social media copy for different platforms.
- Cover important school events, workshops, competitions, celebrations, assemblies, sports activities, exhibitions, and special programmes.
- Coordinate with teachers, coordinators, management, and event teams to identify important moments and ensure timely content coverage.
- Highlight student achievements, staff achievements, academic activities, extracurricular programmes, and school initiatives.
- Capture high-quality mobile photography and videography suitable for social media and promotional purposes.
- Edit photos and videos using tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar editing software.
- Create posters, announcements, stories, thumbnails, promotional creatives, and other digital marketing materials when required.
- Monitor social media trends, viral formats, audio, hashtags, content styles, and audience engagement patterns and adapt content appropriately.
- Respond to comments, messages,



and basic online enquiries professionally and maintain positive community engagement.
- Maintain an organized digital content library of photographs, videos, creatives, event coverage, and student achievement records.
- Ensure all published content follows the school’s branding, communication standards, privacy guidelines, and approval procedures.
- Coordinate with the Admissions and Marketing teams to create content supporting admission campaigns and school promotional activities.
- Track basic social media performance, including reach, views, engagement, followers, and content performance, and prepare periodic reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve the school’s online visibility, engagement, and digital presence.
- Ensure important events and achievements are covered and published within appropriate timelines.
- Be available for photography/video coverage during school events and special programmes, including occasional extended hours when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in social media management, digital content creation, photography, videography, or a related field.
- Robust knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and short-form video platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
- Good photography and video-shooting skills, preferably using a smartphone and/or camera.
- Strong creative sense with an understanding of visual storytelling and social media trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally and comfortably with students, teachers, parents, and school management.
- Energetic, proactive, creative, and willing to work actively on campus rather than being restricted to desk-based work.
- Good time-management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple events and content requirements simultaneously.
- A portfolio or samples of previous social media/content work will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
