Designation: DGM / GM - Construction (Civil Project Execution)

Job Purpose To lead and manage end-to-end civil construction project execution for industrial, commercial, institutional, and factory projects, ensuring completion within approved timelines, budget, quality standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations. The role will be responsible for overall site operations, resource optimization, stakeholder management, and successful delivery of multiple building and factory construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

- Lead execution of large-scale building and factory construction projects from mobilization to handover.
- Develop project execution strategies, construction methodologies, and deployment plans.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and achievement of key milestones.
- Coordinate with Design, Engineering, Procurement, Contracts, Planning, QA/QC, and Safety teams.
- Monitor project progress and take corrective actions to mitigate delays and risks.
- Drive productivity enhancement and resource optimization across project sites.

Construction Management

- Oversee all civil, structural, architectural, and finishing activities.
- Ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and client requirements.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and site engineering teams.
- Review resource requirements including manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Ensure effective site logistics and workflow management.

Contract & Commercial Management

- Monitor project costs and ensure execution within approved budgets.
- Review RA bills, subcontractor bills, and client billing milestones.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and value engineering.
- Manage contractual compliance, claims, variations, and change orders.
- Support commercial teams in resolving contractual disputes and project-related issues.

Quality Management

- Ensure compliance with project quality plans, specifications,



and industry standards.
- Implement robust QA/QC systems across projects.
- Conduct periodic quality reviews and audits.
- Drive defect-free construction and timely closure of non-conformities.

Health, Safety & Workplace (HSE)

- Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites.
- Ensure strict implementation of safety policies and statutory regulations.
- Monitor HSE performance indicators and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead investigations and corrective actions for incidents and near misses.

Stakeholder Management

- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and government authorities.
- Lead project review meetings and provide progress updates to management.
- Address client concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate approvals, inspections, and statutory compliance requirements.

Leadership & Team Management

- Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, construction managers, engineers, and site teams.
- Establish performance objectives and monitor team productivity.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build succession pipelines and strengthen organizational capabilities.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
- Master's Degree in Construction Management / Project Management / Structural Engineering (Preferred).
- PMP, PMP equivalent, NICMAR, or relevant project management certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 20-25+ years of experience in execution of large-scale building and industrial/factory projects.

- High-value Industrial Infrastructure Projects
