Role Description The DFT Engineer role is a full-time remote position responsible for developing and implementing Design-for-Test strategies for complex ASIC and FPGA designs. Day-to-day tasks include defining and reviewing test architectures, generating test cases and patterns, and collaborating with design, verification, and test engineering teams to ensure testability and coverage.

The role involves executing and analyzing functional and structural tests, troubleshooting test failures, and driving improvements in test methodologies and workflows. DFT Engineers document test plans, maintain related tooling and scripts,



and support manufacturing and validation teams to achieve robust, high-yield production. The position requires proactive communication, ownership of deliverables, and adherence to quality and schedule commitments in a distributed team environment.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Test Engineering, including experience defining DFT strategies, test architectures, and collaborating with design and verification teams.
- Hands-on experience with Test Execution and Test Cases, including pattern generation, test plan development, and analysis of test results.
- Proficiency in Testing and Functional Testing concepts, with the ability to evaluate coverage, debug failures, and optimize test quality and efficiency.
- Solid understanding of ASIC/FPGA design flows, scan insertion, BIST, boundary scan, and related DFT tools and methodologies.
- Experience with scripting languages (such as Python, Perl, or TCL) and EDA tools commonly used in semiconductor DFT and verification.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work remotely in cross-functional teams, and strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Exposure to domains such as GPUs, CPUs, wireless, communications, or consumer electronics is an advantage.
