About the Role

Lumber is looking for a DevOps Engineer with 2–3 years of experience to help build, secure, and scale our cloud infrastructure.

You'll work closely with engineering teams to manage AWS environments, operate Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, and design robust networking architecture that supports reliable, high-performing product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Manage and operate Amazon EKS clusters, including deployments, scaling, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Design and maintain secure, highly available networking architecture (VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, security groups,

VPNs).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable software delivery.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Troubleshoot production issues across infrastructure, networking, and application layers.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across cloud and Kubernetes environments (IAM, network policies, secrets management).
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting (Python/Bash) and configuration management tools.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support release management and incident response.
- Document infrastructure design, runbooks,



and operational processes.

Required Skills & Experience

- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Infrastructure role.
- Strong expertise in AWS services (VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB/ALB, Route 53, CloudWatch).
- Solid hands-on experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes (deployments, services, ingress, Helm).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts: DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, and VPC peering.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration best practices.
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.

Good to Have

- AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps, or DevOps Engineer).
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Experience with service mesh (Istio) or API gateways.
- Exposure to cost optimization and security compliance in cloud environments.
