DevOps Engineer Intern (Fresher)?

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer Intern to join our engineering team and work closely with developers and infrastructure engineers to build, deploy, monitor, and maintain reliable applications and cloud infrastructure.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with Linux, servers, Docker, cloud platforms, automation, and troubleshooting and wants hands-on experience with real-world DevOps practices.

You will get an opportunity to work on development and production environments and learn how modern applications are deployed, secured, monitored, and maintained.

Responsibilities

- Assist in managing Linux-based servers and cloud infrastructure .
- Deploy and maintain applications using Docker and Docker Compose .
- Assist with AWS infrastructure , including EC2, S3, IAM, networking, and related services.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
- Work with Git and GitHub for source-code management and deployment workflows.
- Configure and troubleshoot Nginx and reverse-proxy setups.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health using monitoring and logging tools.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues related to application deployments, containers, networking, and servers.
- Automate repetitive infrastructure and deployment tasks using Bash/Python scripts .
- Maintain deployment documentation, configuration files, and operational runbooks.
- Assist with SSL/TLS certificates, DNS, domains, and basic networking .
- Learn and assist with Kubernetes deployments and cluster operations.
- Follow basic security, backup, access-control, and infrastructure best practices.




- Collaborate with developers to improve application deployment and operational reliability.

Required Skills

- Basic understanding of Linux/Ubuntu administration.
- Good understanding of Git and GitHub .
- Basic knowledge of Docker and containerization.
- Basic understanding of AWS or another cloud platform .
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts .
- Basic knowledge of Nginx, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and networking .
- Comfortable using the Linux command line .
- Basic scripting knowledge in Bash or Python .
- Valuable troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn new infrastructure and DevOps technologies.

Good to Have

- Hands-on experience with AWS EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch , or similar services.
- Experience with Docker Compose .
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools .
- Basic Kubernetes knowledge.
- Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana .
- Knowledge of Terraform or Ansible .
- Understanding of Linux networking and troubleshooting.
- Experience deploying a personal or academic project to a cloud server.

What We Look For We value practical problem-solving and willingness to learn more than certifications.

A candidate who has built and deployed a small application on a Linux server, configured Docker, created a CI/CD pipeline, or troubleshot a real deployment issue will be considered strongly even without professional DevOps experience.

Educational Qualification

- B.E./ B.Tech. /M.E./ M. Tech./ BCA /MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field .
- Final-year students and recent graduates are welcome to apply.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Strong interest in DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure, or SRE .
- Comfortable working in a Linux terminal.
- Curious about how applications work beyond writing code.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to investigate problems independently and communicate findings clearly.
- Comfortable learning from documentation and experimenting in development environments.
