Mandatory Skills: Kubernetes & Helm-based release pipelines; CI/CD tools & Docker; Infrastructure scripting; RabbitMQ & caching management; Monitoring & release health checks; Deployment into client-managed environments.

Role Summary: As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in building, automating, and maintaining the CI/CD pipelines and deployment infrastructure for our Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) platform. You will be responsible for orchestrating Kubernetes deployments, securing configurations, managing shared messaging and caching layers, and implementing robust observability to guarantee smooth, reliable production releases into client-managed environments.

Key Responsibilities

- CI/CD & Release Automation: Design, build, and maintain automated, Helm-based CI/CD release pipelines to streamline platform deployments.
- Kubernetes Environment Management: Orchestrate, scale, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, managing environments, secrets, configurations, and workload isolation.
- Infrastructure & Middleware: Deploy and maintain shared platform infrastructure including RabbitMQ messaging brokers, Valkey/Redis caching mechanisms, and supporting database services.




- Observability & Monitoring: Implement proactive system monitoring, log aggregation, APM tracing, and release health checks to maintain high platform availability.
- Production Deployment & Support: Participate in scheduled releases, support production updates, and troubleshoot environment or pipeline issues across offshore-onshore handoffs.

Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Kubernetes & Helm: Hands-on expertise in configuring Kubernetes manifests, writing and maintaining Helm charts, and managing cluster configurations.
- Containerization & CI/CD: Advanced skills with Docker, standard CI/CD engines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps), and automated release workflows.
- Scripting & IaC: Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) and Infrastructure as Code experience.
- Monitoring & Observability: Hands-on experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog for health monitoring and alerting.
- Client Workplace Experience: Proven track record of deploying software into secure, external client-managed environments or public cloud tenancies.
