Job Purpose

Responsible for planning projects and developing content in response to market needs.

Plan, develop, prioritize, implement and oversee the publishing process ensuring that books/products/solutions are published/released within set deadlines, as per the scope, according to the budget and are of the highest quality.

Ensure that we produce objective, accurate content without hurting the sensibilities of any community.

Principal Accountabilities

Publishing

- Understand the vision for ICT and Integrated Learning as laid out by the NEP 2020 and NCF.
- Responsible for the development of the products/solutions assigned by reporting manager or publishing manager.
- Ready to work on Any subject, including ICT.
- Design, develop and deliver resources as per the pedagogical practices and curriculum requirements of the target market.
- Prepare and maintain publishing-related documents.
- Develop sample chapter templates with all the features.
- Evaluate manuscript and outline the manuscript development process and delivery.
- Work with authors and editors to finish the project in time as per the approved scope and budget.
- Responsible for content accuracy and appropriacy, all varieties of editing of the resources we publish
- Interact with freelancers, content developers, reviewers and authors to finalise the book(s), digital components, teacher support material.
- Plan and conduct reviews and evaluate and incorporate relevant feedback.
- Creating a pool of reviewers, teachers and subject-matter experts
- Sign off the handover of the final print-ready PDF of the book(s) and final deliverables of the digital components to the product development team as per the pre-approved scope of work.
- Collaborate with the Product manager (ICT &
- Integrated skills) to create solutions aligning with the requirements of skills development and application.

Mentoring and Supervision





- Schedule and monitor progress of titles to ensure that books/solutions/products are published/released on time according to the Publishing Plan.
- Monitor editors to ensure that publishing processes and workflow are followed strictly.
- Review and improve publishing processes and workflow on the regular basis.
- Ensure adherence to company policies.
- Mentor and guide team members in publishing processes as well as overall career development.
- Be responsible for equitable work distribution in the team.

Relationship Building

- Establish and maintain relationships that help Cambridge University Press &
- Assessment keep an eye on the new trends in the publishing environment.
- Work together with the production and digital functions.
- Maintain healthy relations with the team as well as among the team members, so that the work setting is positive and invigorating.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing team for the active promotion of the books/products/solutions.
- Liaise with Human Resource in the recruitment and development of staff.
- Maintain mutually beneficial relationships with authors, teachers, content developers and freelancers.

Knowledge &

- Experience

- Combination of language, subject specialisation, technology skills and business acumen
- Demonstrate ability to design, develop, implement, manage and report in Publishing processes through KPIs and metrics
- Must have a Master's degree in the relevant subject/stream from a premium University
- Must typically possesses at least 6 years of relevant work experience
- It is desirable to have a degree/diploma in publishing.
- It is desirable to have exposure to international education products.
