Company Description Kagaz ke Phool is a boutique studio dedicated to writing and designing personal biographies for families and individuals. Kagaz specializes in creating bespoke books that celebrate significant life events and relationships, such as anniversaries, birthdays, and multigenerational narratives.

The team collaborates closely with families to transform their stories, memories and experiences into thoughtfully curated and visually engaging keepsakes. Guided by the belief that every story is worth preserving, Kagaz ke Phool focuses on creating timeless, high-quality books that hold deep emotional value for individuals and families.

Role Description The Designer will work remotely with periodic in-office meetings, collaborating with writers and clients to transform personal stories into visually compelling biography books. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing layouts, selecting typography, designing covers, and integrating images, illustrations, and other visual elements that enhance the narrative.

The role involves preparing print-ready files, maintaining brand and design standards, and iterating on designs based on feedback from the team and clients.



The Designer will also contribute creative ideas for new formats and visual concepts, ensuring each project feels unique while meeting quality and production requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong graphic design skills, including layout design, typography, and visual composition for print publications.
- Proficiency with design and publishing tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Ability to collaborate with writers and clients to translate stories and emotional themes into effective visual design.
- Experience preparing print-ready files and working with printers or production teams.
- Attention to detail, robust aesthetic sense, and ability to maintain consistent quality across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle feedback constructively.
- Prior experience in book design, editorial design, or similar print-focused roles is an advantage.
- Relevant education in Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
