: Design Quality Control (QC) Lead / Manager – Modular FurnitureRole Overview

We are looking for an experienced Design Quality Control (QC) Lead / Manager with 7 to 8 years of core experience in modular furniture manufacturing and interior execution. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design engineering, shop-floor production, and final site assembly.

You will be responsible for setting up and executing rigorous design auditing processes—verifying CAD/CAM drawings, bill of materials (BOM), cut-lists, hardware specifications, and unit tolerances before production released to the shop floor. Your focus is to eliminate manufacturing rework, hardware mismatches, and in office fitment issues.

Key Overview & Responsibilities1. Pre-Production Design Auditing & Verification

- Review 2D/3D working drawings, shop drawings, and CAD outputs (AutoCAD, Imos, TopSolid, etc.) for manufacturing feasibility.
- Verify dimensions, edge-banding thickness allowances, panel grain directions, and joinery details before releasing cut-lists to CNC machines.
- Check Bill of Materials (BOM) and hardware listings (hinges, drawer runners, lifts, handles) against architectural client specs.
- Validate technical compatibility with premium hardware brands (e.g., Blum, Hettich, Hafele, Grass).

2. Standardization & Tolerance Management

- Establish and enforce design standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical checklists for modular cabinetry (kitchens, wardrobes, vanity units, workstations).
- Define acceptable engineering tolerance limits for panels, routing,



drilling patterns, and edge-banding gaps.
- Maintain a centralized library of modular hardware templates, system holes (32mm system), and standard unit modules.

3. Factory Shop-Floor & Prototype QC

- Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and prototype reviews for new modular designs prior to mass production.
- Audit drill pattern alignment, dowel placement, cam-lock joinery, and dado cutouts on test panels.
- Coordinate with the CAD/CAM engineering team to correct nesting software outputs, cut-list errors, or program bugs.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination & Rework Analysis

- Work closely with production managers, CAD designers, and project managers to resolve design-to-factory ambiguities.
- Track, analyze, and document design-related Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) occurring on the shop floor or at job sites.
- Implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to update design rules and prevent recurring errors.

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
