Key Responsibilities Design & Development

- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings for mechanical components and instrumentation systems using SolidWorks (AutoCAD/CATIA exposure is a plus)
- Design complete instrument systems including enclosures, fixtures, mounts, and precision assemblies
- Apply DFM/DFA principles to ensure manufacturable, cost-effective, and service-friendly designs

Instrumentation & Prototyping

- Develop and integrate instrumentation solutions to meet functional and operational requirements
- Build, test, and validate prototypes to verify design concepts and performance
- Support design iterations based on testing, field feedback, and production constraints

Production & Manufacturing Support

- Work closely with production and assembly teams to resolve technical issues and optimize manufacturing processes
- Support transition from prototype to production, ensuring design intent is maintained
- Assist in material selection, tolerances, surface finishes, and fabrication methods

Sourcing & Vendor Coordination

- Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors and suppliers for mechanical components
- Support procurement activities while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery timelines
- Collaborate with vendors during fabrication and troubleshooting stages

Engineering Analysis & Documentation

- Perform basic engineering analysis (stress, thermal, fitment, functional checks); FEA/CFD exposure is an advantage
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs, specifications, and manuals
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards (ASME, ISO, ASTM) and internal quality guidelines

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

- Collaborate with electrical, software, applications,



and service teams for seamless system integration
- Diagnose and resolve design-related issues during development and production
- Proactively identify opportunities for design, performance, and process improvements

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Freshers and experienced candidates welcome—skill, curiosity, and passion matter more than titles
- 0–5 years of experience in mechanical design, instrumentation, or manufacturing support
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, Drawing)
- Valuable understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems
- Experience or exposure to vendor coordination and sourcing is a plus
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred / Added Advantage

- Experience with instrumentation, laboratory equipment, battery manufacturing tools, or automation systems
- Knowledge of GD&T;
- Familiarity with FEA / CFD tools
- Exposure to project coordination or basic project management tools

Work Environment

- Office-based role with hands-on involvement in manufacturing and testing
- Occasional visits to vendor sites, manufacturing floors, or customer locations
- Travelling as per project requirements
