Senior Design Manager – Static Equipment Manufacturing

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Key Responsibilities

- Design Management: Lead and manage the design engineering team for static equipment manufacturing projects.
- Design Review: Review client specifications, datasheets, drawings, technical requirements, and project documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Engineering & Design: Lead the design and engineering of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, reactors, storage tanks, and other static equipment.
- Code & Standards: Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards such as ASME, API, TEMA, IS, and other relevant international standards.
- Design Calculations: Review and approve design calculations, including pressure vessel, thickness, nozzle, flange, support, and other equipment-related calculations.
- Drawing Review: Review and approve GA drawings, fabrication drawings, nozzle orientation drawings, BOMs, and other engineering documents.
- Technical Coordination: Coordinate with clients, consultants, third-party inspectors, and internal departments for technical clarifications and approvals.
- Team Management: Guide, mentor, and monitor design engineers and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Projects, and Proposal/Estimation teams to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Design Optimization: Review designs for cost effectiveness, manufacturability, safety, quality, and compliance with customer requirements.




- Technical Problem Solving: Provide technical solutions for design, fabrication, and manufacturing-related issues.
- Client Interaction: Participate in technical meetings with clients and consultants and resolve design-related queries.
- Design Documentation: Ensure proper preparation, checking, approval, and maintenance of all design calculations and engineering documents.
- Design Schedule: Monitor design activities and ensure engineering deliverables are completed within project timelines.
- Continuous Improvement: Improve design standards, templates, calculation methods, engineering practices, and documentation systems.

Experience in the design of the following equipment will be preferred:
- Pressure Vessels
- Heat Exchangers
- Columns / Towers
- Reactors
- Storage Tanks
- Agitators
- Process Skids
- Other Fabricated Static Equipment

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of pressure vessel and static equipment design
- Good knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1, API, TEMA, IS and other applicable standards
- Strong understanding of mechanical design calculations
- Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in engineering/design software and MS Office
- Strong technical problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent team management and leadership abilities
- Positive communication and client-handling skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines

Preferred Candidate Profile The candidate should have strong experience in Static Equipment Manufacturing, with proven expertise in design engineering, team management, technical review, client coordination. Pay: From ₹80,000.00 per month
