Job Purpose

Study the complete RFQ package, prepare the best in class cost effective BID (technical and commercial proposal) which inclusive of pricing, technical and commercial documentation in a stipulated period.

Work within the PDO team and report to Bids Manager / PDO.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Log RFQ in Web portal / ERP.
- Study and Analyze RFQ package.
- Prepare Clause by clause comments to all the technical specification.
- Prepare Clause by clause comments to the QC specification with support of Quality Engineer.
- Prepare Scope of supply.
- Prepare Bills of Material.
- Work with sourcing Engineer for material sourcing.
- Prepare Preliminary / Conceptual design.
- Opt industrial design / styling support during the bids stage if necessary.
- Tooling design study
- Work with structural Engineer for preliminary FEA analysis.
- Prepare Preliminary LCC calculations.
- Prepare Spare parts list
- Prepare preliminary Packing and loading plan.
- Prepare Project plan
- Prepare Estimation file and seek approval from PDO Manager.
- Prepare Commercial offer Letter
- Issue budgets / engineering, tooling forecasts for above 70% probable Bids.




- Assist on certifications / Audits and prepare related documentations.
- Use specialized software Solid Works / Catia to create conceptual design, drawings design presentations produce Bills of materials etc.
- Perform value engineering and follow proven solutions.
- Work independently on product design and estimations.
- Research for new materials and methods of development.
- Perform Customer communication and maintain customer relations.

Min Requirements

- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 4 or more years experience in field of design and estimation and the preparation of complete technical and commercial proposal.
- Ability to work in a highly team-oriented environment and conducting highly integrated reviews discussing possible solutions/features with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of CATIA 3D CAD or SolidWorks software or any 3D modeling software's.
- Strong knowledge in MS EXCEL
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes
- Excellent communication skills.
