Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer role based in Gurugram.

The Design

Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and detailing Special Purpose Machines, PLC-based panels, and related mechanical and electrical systems.

Typical tasks include creating and revising CAD models and drawings, performing basic engineering calculations, and preparing technical documentation and bills of materials.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate client requirements into practical designs, supporting prototyping and shop-floor teams during fabrication and assembly,



and assisting in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Design Engineer will also support testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning of solutions to ensure safety, performance, and manufacturability standards are met.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design, with the ability to translate requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions.
- Applied Mechanical Engineering skills, including knowledge of machine elements, materials, tolerances, and basic stress or load calculations.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks) for 3D modeling, detailing, and drafting.
- Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to automation systems, control panels, and integration with PLC-based equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience or strong interest in SPM design, industrial automation, or conveyor systems is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate with production, procurement, and on-site teams.
- Comfort working on-site in Gurugram, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and support during fabrication, installation, and testing.
