Position: Design Engineer – SolidWorks

Department: Design & Engineering

Experience: 2–5 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Job Responsibilities:

- Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Develop detailed designs based on customer requirements, specifications, and engineering standards.
- Prepare production drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Perform design calculations, material selection, and basic engineering analysis.
- Coordinate with production, purchase, quality, and project teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Review existing designs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and design improvement.
- Ensure designs meet required dimensions, tolerances, safety, and quality standards.
- Support prototype development, testing, and design validation.
- Incorporate engineering changes and maintain updated design documentation.




- Communicate with customers and vendors when required regarding technical specifications.

Required Skills:

- Solid proficiency in SolidWorks – Part, Assembly, and Drawing.
- Good knowledge of GD&T;, engineering drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of materials, fabrication, machining, sheet metal, and mechanical components.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate:

- Mechanical Engineering background with practical design experience.
- Hands-on experience in SolidWorks and mechanical product/equipment design.
- Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work according to project deadlines.
