ABOUT THE ROLE

Muvtons Castors Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Design Engineer to join its Design & Engineering team. The role involves mechanical product design, engineering analysis, new product development, and continuous product improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and develop mechanical components, castors, wheels, and assemblies using SolidWorks.

- Create and modify accurate 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, GD&T;, and specifications.

- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.

- Apply mechanical engineering fundamentals and design principles for component and product development.

- Perform FEA simulations and Motion Analysis in SolidWorks to validate designs and identify improvements.

- Support prototype development, testing, validation, and design optimization.

- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and cost-effective.

- Contribute to New Product Development (NPD) and generate innovative design concepts and solutions.





- Maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, documentation, and revision control.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

- Solid understanding of Engineering Mechanics, Machine Design, Materials, Manufacturing Processes, and mechanical design principles.

- Proficiency in SolidWorks Part Modelling, Assembly, 2D Drawings, Sheet Metal, and Simulation.

- Ability to perform and interpret FEA and Motion Analysis results.

- Good understanding of tolerances, fits, GD&T;, and engineering drawing standards.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop new solutions.

- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

- Experience in wheels, castors, material handling equipment, industrial products, or mechanical product development.

- Exposure to DFMA, design optimization, prototyping, and product testing.
