❖ JOB SUMMARY:

- As a Design Engineer specializing in Industrial Automation Solutions, he/she will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing & designing Special Purpose Machines

(SPMs) / Material Handling Equipment, and implementing automation solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of industrial clients.

- Working within a multidisciplinary team, he/she will collaborate closely with engineers,

technicians, and clients to develop innovative automation systems that enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety within industrial environments.

❖ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

➢ System Design and Development:

- Collaborate with clients to understand their manufacturing processes, challenges, and automation requirements.
- Develop and design Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) / Material Handling Equipment and customized automation solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing manufacturing systems, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
- Develop detailed system specifications, schematics, and layout drawings to guide the implementation process.

➢ Engineering Analysis and Simulation:





- Conduct engineering analysis and simulations to validate the performance, reliability,

and feasibility of proposed automation solutions.

- Utilize simulation software and tools to model system behavior, optimize designs, and anticipate potential challenges.

➢ Prototyping and Testing:

- Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts, functionality, and performance under real-world operating conditions.
- Conduct testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues, ensuring that automation systems meet quality standards and performance requirements.

➢ Documentation and Reporting:

- Prepare detailed technical documentation including system specifications, design documents, and user manuals.
- Provide regular progress updates, technical reports, and presentations to project stakeholders and management.

➢ Collaboration and Teamwork:

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers,

electrical engineers, software developers, and project engineers throughout the project lifecycle.

- Participate in project planning, design reviews, scheduling, and coordination activities to ensure timely delivery of automation solutions within budget and scope.

❖ (IN A NUTSHELL):

- Primary responsibility includes developing & designing Special Purpose Machines (SPMs)

/ Material Handling Equipment and executing Projects as per client’s requirements.

- Design, detail-out and produce working drawings of assemblies, sub-assemblies & parts of the SPMs.
- New Product Development (NPD).
- Understand customer requirements & create concept design / drawing.
- Draw, update and maintain designs.
- Ensure that all design projects are completed within budget & time.

❖ QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech (Mechanical Only).
- Min. 2 Yrs. proven experience in Design Engineering of SPMs OR Material Handling





Equipment and implementation of industrial automation solutions within manufacturing environments.

- Solid proficiency in 2D/3D modeling software, specifically AutoCAD OR SolidWorks OR similar Software.
- Concept Designing - 3D & 2D.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
