Job Summary
We are looking for a Design Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background and hands-on experience in Creo and AutoCAD. The candidate will be responsible for 2D drafting, 3D modelling, sheet metal design, and preparation of engineering drawings for manufacturing and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 2D drawings and 3D models using Creo and AutoCAD.
- Develop sheet metal designs, assemblies, and fabrication drawings.
- Prepare and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings.
- Design mechanical components and fabricated structures as per specifications.
- Prepare assembly drawings, detailed drawings and BOMs.
- Ensure proper dimensions, tolerances, fitment and design accuracy.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality and Fabrication teams for design implementation.
- Modify and optimize existing designs based on production requirements.
- Support prototype development and resolve design-related issues.
- Ensure designs are practical and suitable for manufacturing.
Required Skills
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Design / Manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in Creo is preferred.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting.
- Knowledge of 3D modelling, sheet metal design and assembly design.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and design specifications.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances and manufacturing processes will be an advantage.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with experience in sheet metal, fabrication, industrial machinery, material handling equipment or manufacturing will be preferred.
Freshers with strong Creo/AutoCAD skills and relevant academic/project experience may also be considered.
