Design Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) – PRIMA Equipment (India)

Reporting To: Senior/Head – Design Engineering / Operation Manager

Experience: 1–3 Years (AutoCAD mandatory)

Job Summary The Design Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate, high-quality Electrical and Mechanical engineering drawings for approved projects. The role requires strong AutoCAD skills, attention to detail, and coordination with the Production Department to support manufacturing activities. The candidate must be proactive in updating documentation and continuously improving technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. AutoCAD Design & Drafting

- Prepare Electrical and Mechanical drawings for approved projects.
- Create assembly, mounting, enclosure, and all-view drawings in AutoCAD.
- Prepare 3D models/drawings using Fusion 360 (as required).
- Update control copies after verification by Senior/Head Engineers.

2. Documentation & Compliance

- Update Excel sheets for all Electrical & Mechanical drawings in the Design Drive.
- Ensure timely completion of drawings as per project deadlines.
- Maintain drawing records, revisions, and documentation accuracy.

3. Coordination With Production Department

- Provide required Electrical & Mechanical drawings to Production.




- Take measurements of new project enclosures, assemblies, and mountings.
- Verify electrical wiring of new and existing panels for preparing wiring diagrams.
- Capture actual project views for accurate 3D drawing preparation.

4. Skill Development

- Continuously enhance design knowledge and engineering skills.
- Prepare to grow into the role of Senior Design Engineer.

Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD (compulsory)
- Basic/Intermediate skills in Fusion 360 (preferred)
- Understanding of Mechanical assemblies & Electrical panel layouts
- Knowledge of enclosure design, fabrication drawings & wiring diagrams

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E / B.Tech – Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant engineering discipline
- 1–3 years of design experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
