What you ll do

Responsible for end-to-end field service support for Medium Voltage products, including MV switchgear RMU(33KV & 11KV), Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCBs), protection relays and associated systems. Independently execute commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, breakdown support, testing, customer support and technical issue resolution while ensuring safety, quality and timely service delivery.

1.Execute installation, commissioning, testing, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of Medium Voltage switchgear(RMU, VCB etc) and associated equipment.

- Diagnose issues related to RMU, VCBs, circuit breakers, protection relays, CTs, PTs, busbars, control circuits and interlocking systems.
- Perform insulation resistance, contact resistance, breaker timing and functional tests.
- Conduct protection relay testing, fault diagnosis and verification of protection/control schemes.
- Attend breakdown and emergency service calls and ensure timely restoration.
- Conduct site inspections and identify equipment health and maintenance requirements.
- Perform RCA and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Prepare service, inspection, testing, failure and RCA reports.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales and other functions.
- Guide customers, service partners and engineers.

11.

Follow

Eaton safety procedures, LOTOV, PPE and EHS requirements.

- Monitor response time, resolution time, and repeat failures.
- Support warranty investigations and product/service improvement.
- Identify retrofit, modernization, spare-parts and AMC opportunities.
- Travel extensively to customer sites as required."

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.





8-10 years of relevant experience in Medium Voltage switchgear field service, commissioning, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting.

Skills

"1. Strong hands-on knowledge of MV switchgear and electrical distribution systems.

Experience with RMUs, VCBs, breaker mechanisms, protection relays, CTs, PTs, busbars, control circuits and interlocking.

- Knowledge of protection schemes, relay settings and relay testing.

Experience with insulation resistance, contact resistance, breaker timing, primary/secondary injection and functional testing.

- Ability to read SLDs, control schematics, wiring diagrams and protection circuits.
- Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills.
- Knowledge of applicable IEC/IS standards and electrical safety."
