Position: Deputy Manager Production (CNC/VMC & CAD/CAM)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager Production to lead CNC/VMC machining operations, production planning, process optimization, CAD/CAM programming support, and team management activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in machining processes along with hands-on knowledge of CAD/CAM software, tooling, process planning, and production management.

The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, improving productivity, reducing manufacturing costs, ensuring quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead and manage daily production operations of CNC Turning, VMC, and HMC machining centers.
- Plan, organize, and control production activities to achieve customer delivery targets.
- Monitor machine utilization, productivity, efficiency, and OEE performance.
- Drive production improvements through cycle time reduction and process optimization.
- Review engineering drawings and determine machining methodologies.
- Support CAD/CAM programming activities for new and existing components.
- Optimize tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and machining strategies.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, Stores, and PPC departments.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and customer commitments.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production and quality issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Drive Lean Manufacturing,



Kaizen, and 5S initiatives across the shop floor.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Develop and mentor production engineers, supervisors, and machine operators.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production MIS reports for management.
- Participate in new product development and process validation activities.

EDUCATION
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE
- 10-15 years of experience in CNC/VMC machining and manufacturing operations.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a leadership role such as Assistant Manager, Production Manager, or Deputy Manager.
- Experience in Automotive, Precision Machining, Engineering Components, or Industrial Manufacturing Industry preferred.
- Exposure to Japanese manufacturing systems will be an added advantage.
