1. Role Purpose The Finance Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and strengthening the day-to-day finance operations of the diagnostic business, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, financial controls, regulatory compliance and effective coordination between Finance, Operations, Sales, Billing, Collection and other business functions.

The role will focus on revenue assurance, billing controls, receivables, vendor management, MIS, branch/centre-level financial monitoring, process controls and operational efficiency.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Revenue & Billing Operations

- Oversee end-to-end billing and revenue accounting across diagnostic centres, laboratories, home collection and B2B/corporate business.
- Ensure accurate billing for pathology, radiology and other diagnostic services.
- Monitor cash, card, UPI, online, corporate and credit billing.
- Ensure reconciliation between patient registration, test orders, billing, discounts, collections and revenue recognition.
- Monitor billing errors, cancellations, refunds, credit notes and write-offs.
- Establish controls to minimise revenue leakage and unbilled services.
- Review unusual discounts, complimentary tests and manual billing adjustments.

A1. Pricing, Share Set and Margin tagging

- Migration of Test MRP from LIMS to ERP
- Migration of Margin share /Net Rate from LIMS to ERP
- Ensure minimal deviation on Revenue Leakage

B. Revenue Assurance & Business Controls

- Develop and monitor controls covering the complete cycle of: Patient Registration Test Order Sample Collection Testing Result Billing Collection Accounting.

- Identify gaps resulting in revenue leakage, incorrect billing or delayed collection.




- Conduct periodic review of centre-wise and test-wise revenue.
- Monitor price master, package rates, corporate rates and approved discount structures.
- Ensure appropriate approval matrix for discounts, refunds, credit notes and write-offs.

C.

Accounts

Receivable &

• Collections

- Monitor corporate/B2B receivables and ageing.
- Coordinate with commercial, sales and operations teams for timely collection of outstanding amounts.
- Prepare collection forecasts and follow up on overdue receivables.
- Review customer-wise ageing and identify high-risk accounts.
- Drive reduction in DSO and overdue receivables.
- Ensure appropriate accounting and reconciliation of customer advances and unidentified receipts.

D. Centre / Branch Finance Operations

- Review financial performance of individual diagnostic centres.
- Monitor centre-level revenue, expenses, profitability and cash flows.
- Review daily/weekly/monthly centre MIS.
- Analyse variances against budget, previous period and business targets.
- Identify underperforming centres and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor controllable operating expenses and ensure adherence to approved budgets.

F. MIS &

• Management Reporting

- Prepare and publish timely monthly/weekly finance MIS.
- Develop dashboards covering:




- Revenue
- Volume / tests
- Average Revenue per Patient (ARPP)
- Centre profitability
- Receivables &

• DSO

- Collection efficiency
- Discounts
- Refunds
- Outsourcing cost
- Major operating expenses

- Provide management with actionable insights rather than only financial reporting.
- Highlight key deviations, risks and corrective actions to business leadership.

G. Budgeting &

• Forecasting

- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.
- Prepare centre-wise and function-wise budgets.
- Monitor actual versus budget performance.
- Perform variance analysis and provide explanations/action plans.
- Support business cases for current centres, equipment, outsourcing and expansion initiatives.

H. Compliance &

• Controls

- Ensure compliance with applicable GST, TDS, accounting and statutory requirements in coordination with the respective teams.
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for financial transactions.
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors.
- Implement and monitor SOPs and internal financial controls.
- Support periodic internal control reviews and closure of audit observations.

I. Data &

• Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities for automation and process standardisation.
- Work with IT/business teams to improve finance workflows and ERP controls.
- Reduce manual intervention in billing, reconciliation and reporting.
- Establish automated reconciliation and exception-reporting mechanisms wherever feasible.
- Use data analytics to identify unusual trends, revenue leakage and cost inefficiencies.
