Role Purpose

Jaipur Alchemy is Golcha Associated Group's ceramics division, running the brands Khanoom, Araish and Golcha Labs, and specializing in traditional art, handcrafted ceramics, crafts and sculptures. This role will be responsible for end-to-end operations of Jaipur Alchemy, with a sharp focus on three core areas: the sales order management cycle (from sales order generation to final dispatch), production planning & control across the ceramic manufacturing process, and data analytics, reporting & MIS. The incumbent will act as a single point of ownership for these functions, working closely with the Vice President Commercial.

The incumbent must have a strong working knowledge of ceramic production processes — including hand-thrown production, modular production, bisquing (biscuit firing), kiln operations, painting and glazing — along with experience in inventory management and manpower planning for a production workforce of approximately 70–80 people, comprising white-collar staff and a majority of contractual workers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Order Management Cycle

- Own the complete sales order management cycle for Jaipur Alchemy, from sales order generation and confirmation through to final dispatch.
- Track and coordinate orders at every stage — booking, production scheduling, quality clearance, packing and dispatch — ensuring timely order fulfilment.
- Liaise with the sales team to validate order specifications, priorities and delivery commitments across the Khanoom, Araish and Golcha Labs brands.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date order-to-dispatch trackers/records and proactively resolve bottlenecks.

2. Production Planning & Control (Ceramic Manufacturing)

- Prepare and manage production plans based on confirmed sales orders, ensuring alignment with manufacturing capacity and lead times.
- Plan and coordinate across the full ceramic production process, including hand-thrown production, modular production, bisquing/biscuit firing, kiln operations, painting and glazing.
- Monitor production output against plan at each process stage, identify bottlenecks/delays and drive corrective action.




- Manage inventory of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods to support uninterrupted production and timely dispatch.
- Ensure quality and consistency of output across hand-thrown, modular and other production processes.

3. Data Analytics, Reporting & MIS

- Create and maintain MIS reports covering production planning, variance analysis, sales performance and operational KPIs.
- Build and maintain management dashboards for production, sales and operational visibility.
- Prepare planning reports and analyze production/sales data to identify variances, trends and improvement opportunities.
- Work on AI-enabled tools and integrations to automate reporting, analytics and forecasting.
- Ensure timely and accurate circulation of reports and dashboards to management.

4. Manpower Planning

- Plan manpower requirements based on production schedules and order volumes, for a workforce of approximately 70–80 people, comprising white-collar staff and a majority of contractual workers.
- Coordinate with HR and production teams for timely deployment, shift planning and workforce optimization aligned to production needs.
- Monitor manpower productivity and utilization across the various production processes.

5. End-to-End Operations Management

- Own end-to-end operations for Jaipur Alchemy, coordinating across sales, production, quality, dispatch and finance functions.
- Standardize and streamline operating processes and SOPs for consistency and efficiency.
- Identify and drive operational efficiency and cost-optimization initiatives.
- Act as the single operational point of contact for Jaipur Alchemy.

6. Business Reviews & Management Presentations

- Prepare presentations for monthly and quarterly business review meetings.
- Consolidate operational, production and sales data into a consistent management reporting format.
- Present key operational, production and sales highlights to senior management as required.

7. Market Analysis

- Conduct market analysis covering competitor benchmarking, industry trends, pricing movement and demand-supply position relevant to the ceramics/handcrafted art business.
- Translate market insights into actionable inputs for business and sales strategy discussions with the Vice President – Commercial.

8. Cross-Functional Coordination





- Act as the operating bridge between Jaipur Alchemy's functions and the Vice President – Commercial.
- Facilitate communication and alignment across sales, production, quality and dispatch teams.
- Escalate and help resolve inter-departmental issues in coordination with the Vice President – Commercial.

Qualification

- B.Tech / B.E. in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Minerals Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline; OR B.Com.
- Candidates with a B.Tech in Ceramic Engineering / Ceramic Technology will have an added advantage.
- MBA in Marketing or Operations Management is mandatory, in addition to the above — preferably from a reputed / premier business school or institute, which will be an important consideration for this role.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Robust understanding of sales order management and the order-to-dispatch cycle.
- Strong working knowledge of ceramic production processes — hand-thrown production, modular production, bisquing/biscuit firing, kiln operations, painting and glazing.
- Production planning & control expertise, including inventory management of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.
- Strong data analytics, MIS and reporting skills, with proficiency in Excel/BI tools and exposure to AI-based analytics/automation tools.
- Ability to build management dashboards, planning reports, variance reports and business presentations (PowerPoint, Power BI or similar).
- Manpower planning experience for a workforce of approximately 70–80 people, including management of contractual labour.
- Strong cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Market analysis and business acumen relevant to the ceramics/craft business.
- Solid communication and presentation skills for senior management business reviews.
- Ability to manage end-to-end operations with ownership and execution discipline.
