Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Analytics

Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Analytics to lead our Analytics and Business Intelligence function. The incumbent will drive enterprise-wide data strategy, advanced analytics, and business intelligence initiatives that enable data-driven decision-making and sustainable business growth.

This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership capability to transform complex data into actionable insights, strengthen analytics infrastructure, and build a high-performing team of analytics professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Governance

- Develop and execute a comprehensive analytics and data strategy aligned with organizational objectives and growth plans.
- Establish and oversee data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and other functions to identify opportunities for leveraging analytics to improve business performance.
- Champion a data-driven culture by promoting the adoption of analytics and evidence-based decision-making across the organization.

Advanced Analytics & Data Science

- Lead the development and deployment of predictive models, forecasting solutions, customer segmentation frameworks, and advanced analytical initiatives.
- Drive the implementation and optimization of business intelligence platforms, dashboards, and automated reporting systems.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools,



and methodologies to enhance organizational analytics capabilities.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business leaders and executive management.
- Ensure scalability, accuracy, and effectiveness of analytical models and reporting frameworks.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

- Build, lead, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of data scientists, business analysts, and data engineers.
- Define performance goals and development plans for team members.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and analytical excellence.
- Drive knowledge sharing and adoption of best practices in analytics, data science, and business intelligence.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- MBA from a reputed institution with a strong analytical orientation will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 10–14 years of overall experience in Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a leadership or people management role.
- Proven experience in managing enterprise-scale analytics initiatives and influencing senior business stakeholders.

Technical Competencies

Data Analytics & Programming





- Advanced proficiency in Python and/or R.
- Expert-level SQL skills with experience in complex query optimization and data modelling.

Cloud & Data Platforms

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong working knowledge of data warehouses and modern analytics ecosystems, including Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or equivalent.

Business Intelligence & Visualization

- Expertise in Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar visualization platforms.
- Experience in designing executive dashboards and self-service analytics solutions.

Machine Learning & Statistical Modelling

- Robust understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical techniques, forecasting models, and experimentation frameworks (A/B testing).
- Experience in deploying and monitoring analytical models in business environments.
