Role & responsibilities The DGM Strategic Procurement will lead strategic sourcing, factory procurement and supplier management for the commercial elevator business, driving cost competitiveness, supply assurance, quality and procurement efficiency.

The incumbent will play a critical role in developing a robust supplier ecosystem and partnering with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Projects, Finance and Business Development to support business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead strategic sourcing and factory procurement across critical elevator components, assemblies, raw materials and allied products.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business plans, manufacturing requirements and cost objectives.
- Identify, evaluate and develop OEMs, strategic suppliers and alternate sources to ensure supply continuity and competitiveness.
- Lead high-value commercial negotiations covering price, payment terms, credit, lead time, MOQ, warranty and long-term contracts.
- Drive cost reduction, value engineering and should-cost / market benchmarking initiatives.
- Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships, including periodic performance reviews covering Cost, Quality, Delivery and Service.
- Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to develop alternate materials,



vendors and cost-effective specifications without compromising quality or safety.
- Ensure procurement plans are aligned with production schedules, inventory requirements and project commitments.
- Strengthen procurement processes, governance, MIS, contracts and supplier-performance mechanisms.
- Develop and mentor the procurement team and build a culture of commercial discipline, transparency and continuous improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

- Approximately 20 years of progressive experience in Strategic Sourcing, Factory Procurement and Supply Chain, preferably within Elevators, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Products or allied sectors.
- Strong track record in strategic negotiations, supplier development, cost optimisation and factory procurement.
- Solid understanding of technical components, manufacturing requirements and commercial procurement.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large supplier portfolios and high-value procurement spends.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, stakeholder-management and leadership capabilities.
- Engineering / Supply Chain / Commerce graduate; MBA / PG qualification in Procurement or Supply Chain would be an advantage.
