Purpose/Objective The Cement Mill Incharge manages the operation of the cement mill, ensuring the production of cement that meets quality standards.

This role is responsible for optimizing mill performance, managing energy consumption, and maintaining equipment to prevent downtime.

The Cement Mill Incharge also leads the cement mill team, driving initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure that the cement produced meets the required chemical and physical specifications, coordinating with the quality control laboratory for regular testing and analysis.

Implement corrective actions promptly when deviations from quality standards are detected.

Energy Efficiency and Resource Optimization: Maximize energy efficiency in cement mill operations, implementing best practices to reduce energy consumption and optimize the use of grinding media.

Regularly review and analyze energy consumption data, identifying opportunities for further efficiency improvements.

Maintenance and Equipment Management: Plan and oversee the maintenance of cement mill equipment, including regular inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.

Ensure that all equipment is maintained in optimal condition to prevent unplanned downtime and extend the lifespan of critical assets.

Inventory and Resource Management: Manage the inventory of grinding media, liners, and spare parts for the cement mill, ensuring that stock levels are adequate to support continuous production.

Optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while ensuring the availability of critical components.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure that all cement mill operations comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the cement mill team.

Internal Control and Fraud Prevention:



Establish and enforce internal controls within the cement mill section to prevent operational inefficiencies, financial leakages, and fraud.

Maintain transparency in all cement mill operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting of operational data.

Team Leadership and Development: Lead, train, and develop the cement mill operations team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and foster a collaborative work environment within the team.

Commercial Responsibility: Monitor and control the operational costs associated with cement mill operations, contributing to the overall profitability of the plant.

Ensure that all cement mill-related expenditures are documented and reported accurately, maintaining transparency in financial management.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest developments in cement mill technology and best practices, implementing cutting-edge solutions to enhance mill performance.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cement mill operations and reduce operational costs.

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Work Experience: 10+ years of experience in cement mill operations within the cement manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of cement mill operations, including grinding pressure, separator performance, and material transport systems.

Expertise in energy efficiency, equipment maintenance, and quality control.
