Role Description

This is a full time, on-site role for a Debt Recovery Manager (B2C Collection) based in Gurugram. The role involves leading and managing a collections team focused on recovering outstanding dues from individual customers while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach.

The Debt Recovery

Manager will design and implement collection strategies, monitor portfolio performance, and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing delinquent accounts, coordinating with sales and finance teams, negotiating payment plans, escalating complex cases when needed, and preparing regular reports on recovery status and key metrics. The role also includes coaching team members, conducting process reviews,



and recommending improvements to enhance recovery efficiency and customer experience.

Qualifications

- Experience in B2C debt recovery, consumer collections, or credit control, preferably within real estate, financial services, or related sectors.
- Strong knowledge of collection processes, dispute resolution, and legal or regulatory considerations related to consumer debt.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, set targets, provide performance feedback, and drive results in a high-volume collections environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and respectfully.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, collections software, and basic data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) to track and report on recovery performance.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications in credit management or collections are an advantage.
- Comfort working in an on-site, fast-paced environment in Gurugram and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
