Dean, Centre of Legal Education

Key Responsibilities

- Provide academic and administrative leadership for the Centre of Legal Education.
- Plan, implement, and monitor academic programmes, curriculum, teaching-learning activities, and student outcomes.
- Lead and mentor faculty members, including workload allocation, performance review, and career development.
- Oversee moot courts, legal aid clinics, internships, court visits, seminars, conferences, and other practical legal training activities.
- Coordinate academic activities, examinations, Internships and Student Assessments.
- Promote legal research, publications, conferences, consultancy, and academic collaborations.
- Ensure compliance with university, statutory, accreditation, and relevant legal education requirements.
- Guide student mentoring, academic progress, discipline, placements, and overall professional development.
- Develop collaborations with courts, law firms, legal practitioners, universities, professional bodies, and other institutions.
- Monitor infrastructure and resource requirements, including library,



moot court facilities, legal aid clinic, and other academic facilities.
- Contribute to the overall growth, quality enhancement, and strategic development of the Centre.

Qualification & Experience

- Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M.) from a recognised institution.
- Ph.D. in Law / relevant discipline preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience, including significant experience in academic administration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Professor is mandatory.
- Experience as Professor / HOD / Dean / Academic Coordinator in a reputed law institution preferred.
- Strong record of research publications, academic leadership, faculty mentoring, and legal education.
