Databricks Support

Key Responsibilities

- Manage Databricks workspaces, including DEV, QA, and PROD environments.
- Configure and manage clusters, cluster policies, instance pools, and ensure performance, usage, and cost optimization, as well as FinOps activities.
- Handle workspace-level configuration and governance, and troubleshoot platform-level issues.
- Implement and manage Unity Catalog Governance framework, including configuring meta-store catalogs, schemas, and external locations, and RBAC on respective objects.
- Manage storage credentials and external data access, as well as IAM and implementation of RBAC.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of Databricks services.
- Continuously monitor and improve Databricks workspaces, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and other relevant resources.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal stakeholders and customers.

Required Qualifications

- At least 4-6 years of experience in Databricks administration, support, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in managing Databricks workspaces, including configuration, governance, and troubleshooting.
- Deep understanding of Databricks core components, such as clusters, policies, and instance pools.
- Experience with FinOps, cost optimization, and performance monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of Unity Catalog Governance framework,



including meta-store catalogs, schemas, and RBAC.
- Proficiency in managing storage credentials and external data access, as well as IAM and RBAC.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills & Experience

- Expert-level proficiency in Databricks, including core components, governance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with FinOps, cost optimization, and performance monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of Unity Catalog Governance framework, including meta-store catalogs, schemas, and RBAC.
- Proficiency in managing storage credentials and external data access, as well as IAM and RBAC.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Robust understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
- Experience with scripting languages, such as Python or Scala.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as Git, Jenkins, or Docker.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Databricks.
- Solid knowledge of data engineering and architecture.
- Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence.
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
- Experience with ETL and data integration tools.
- Strong understanding of data security and compliance.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
