Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Database professional at PPStack. The role involves managing and maintaining databases that support learning platforms, analytics, and internal systems.

Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring database performance, ensuring data integrity and security, optimizing queries, and implementing backup and recovery strategies. The Database professional will collaborate with engineering, data,



and product teams to design and refine data models that support new features and reporting needs. The role also includes documenting database structures, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and contributing to improvements in data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

- Strong database administration skills, including performance monitoring, backup/recovery, and security management.
- Experience with database design and data modeling to support scalable, reliable applications.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and/or NoSQL databases, and practical experience working with them.
- Demonstrated analytical skills for interpreting data, optimizing queries, and solving complex technical problems.
- Proficiency in SQL; familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in EdTech, data-intensive applications, or analytics platforms is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, collaborate across teams, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
