Profile: DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (PostgreSQL DBA)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience after obtaining the required certification. The candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance optimization, security, backup and recovery, troubleshooting, and supporting database-driven applications. Candidates with experience working on Judiciary / Court-related database systems or projects will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain PostgreSQL databases .

- Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and health.
- Perform database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
- Manage database users, roles, permissions, and security controls.
- Identify and resolve database performance and connectivity issues.
- Perform query optimization, indexing, and database tuning.
- Support database migration, upgrades, patching, and version management.
- Ensure database integrity, availability, and data consistency.
- Collaborate with application development teams for database integration and troubleshooting.

• Support applications developed using FastAPI, React, and NextJS .

- Assist in database design, schema development, stored procedures, functions, and SQL optimization.
- Prepare technical documentation related to database architecture, configurations, backup/recovery,



and operational procedures.
- Provide technical support during deployment, testing, production rollout, and troubleshooting activities.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL Database Administration.

- Good knowledge of SQL, database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability concepts.

• Knowledge of FastAPI and its integration with PostgreSQL .

• Working knowledge of React and NextJS .

- Understanding of REST APIs and application-database integration.
- Knowledge of database security, access control, and data protection practices.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of scripting/automation for database administration will be preferred.

Preferred Experience

•Prior experience in Judiciary / Court / e-Court / Legal Information Systems or similar government database projects.

- Experience handling databases for large-scale or mission-critical applications.
- Experience with government or public-sector IT projects will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification

• B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering , or equivalent OR

- MCA
