Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, manage, and maintain database systems.
- Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity.
- Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Ensure database security, access control, and data integrity.
- Identify and resolve database performance issues and errors.
- Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database performance.
- Manage database users, roles, permissions, and access.
- Perform database upgrades, patches, migrations, and maintenance.
- Monitor database health and proactively troubleshoot issues.
- Develop and maintain database documentation and operational procedures.
- Work closely with Development, QA, DevOps, and IT teams to support application requirements.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of critical databases.
- Handle production database issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Manage production databases, monitor database performance and availability, optimize queries, handle backup and restore operations, maintain database security, troubleshoot database issues, and automate routine DBA tasks.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of SQL and Database Administration.




- Strong hands-on experience with MySQL Database Administration is mandatory.
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon AWS RDS is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience managing MySQL databases in production environments.
- PostgreSQL Database Administration experience is a good-to-have / additional advantage.
- Experience working in Linux environment..
- Valuable understanding of database backup and recovery strategies.
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience identifying and troubleshooting slow-running queries.
- Good understanding of indexing and query optimization.
- Understanding of database security, permissions, and access management.
- Experience with troubleshooting production database issues.
- Knowledge of replication, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS RDS, database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, monitoring, security, and troubleshooting.
