Roles & Responsibilities

- Install, configure and administer Oracle / Microsoft SQL Server databases supporting the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
- Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrade and migration activities across development, test and production environments
- Provide database support for 3DEXPERIENCE Platform installation, deployment, upgrade and production activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related installation, deployment, connectivity, performance and production issues
- Perform database performance tuning, including SQL tuning, execution plan analysis, wait-event analysis, memory tuning and database parameter optimization
- Monitor database health and performance using AWR, ASH, SQL monitoring, database reports and other monitoring tools
- Perform database backup and recovery activities and ensure backup/recovery procedures meet customer requirements
- Manage tablespaces, datafiles, temporary tablespaces, undo, redo logs, indexes and database storage capacity
- Perform database refresh, cloning, export/import and data migration activities between environments
- good to know knowledge of large database migrations using technologies such as RMAN, Data Pump, Transportable Tablespaces (TTS) and other migration methodologies
- Analyze and resolve database performance bottlenecks, locking/blocking, deadlocks, high CPU, memory pressure, I/O and wait-event related issues
- Perform database patching and Release/FD upgrade support for 3DEXPERIENCE Platform environments
- Support high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as Oracle RAC/Data Guard and SQL Server Always On, where applicable
- Implement DS / 3DEXPERIENCE database best practices in customer environments




- Validate database technical prerequisites including database version, configuration, sizing, memory, storage, connectivity and capacity requirements
- Work closely with 3DEXPERIENCE Infrastructure, Application, Engineering and Customer teams to troubleshoot end-to-end platform issues
- Analyze application/database interactions and identify whether issues originate from the database, application, middleware or infrastructure layer
- Capitalize on project deliverables and troubleshooting solutions to ensure reusability across customer environments

Mandatory Skills

- Strong experience in Oracle Database and/or Microsoft SQL Server Architecture
- Database installation, configuration and administration
- Robust knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning
- Experience with Oracle AWR/ASH, SQL tuning, execution plans and wait-event analysis
- Knowledge of Oracle RMAN, Data Pump, backup/recovery and database refresh activities
- Experience in managing Tablespaces, Datafiles, TEMP, UNDO, Redo Logs, Control Files and database storage
- Working knowledge of Oracle 12c/19c or later versions
- Working knowledge of SQL Server 2019/2022 or later versions
- Experience troubleshooting database connectivity issues between applications and databases
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows Server operating systems
- Basic understanding of AWS / Azure / Cloud database environments
- Understanding of database capacity planning, sizing and resource utilization
- Knowledge of database monitoring and diagnostic tools

Good to have some experience in automation tools relation to database. Basic understanding of application servers, web servers, load balancers, LDAP and network connectivity would be a plus
