Key Responsibilities

1.

Data Governance

Operations

- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Banks Data Governance Framework.

- Coordinate data governance activities across Business Units (BUs) and Support Units (SUs).

- Facilitate collaboration with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and key stakeholders.

- Support governance forums, working groups, and committees through meeting preparation, reporting, and action tracking.

- Monitor adherence to data governance policies, standards, and procedures.

- Track data-related issues, remediation plans, and governance performance metrics.

- Prepare regular governance reports and management dashboards.

2.

Metadata

Management, Data Lineage &

- KDU/KDE Governance

- Maintain and enhance the enterprise metadata repository and business glossary.

- Coordinate the identification, documentation, and approval of Critical Data Elements (KDEs) and Key Data Usage (KDU) processes.

- Facilitate the documentation and maintenance of end-to-end data lineage across systems, applications, and reports.

- Ensure lineage captures data sourcing, transformation, movement, consumption, and regulatory reporting requirements.

- Maintain data asset inventories and support metadata quality assessments.

- Monitor the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of metadata, lineage, and data ownership information.

- Collaborate with business and technology teams to resolve metadata and lineage gaps.

3. Data Analytics &

- Regulatory Reporting Support

- Partner with business, analytics, and reporting teams to understand data requirements.

- Support data discovery and sourcing through metadata and lineage capabilities.

- Facilitate access to trusted, governed, and well-documented data for analytics and reporting.





- Assist in establishing consistent data definitions, standards, and business rules.

- Support regulatory reporting, management reporting, and strategic analytics initiatives through appropriate governance controls.

- Help ensure critical reporting data is traceable, well-defined, and properly governed.

4.

Data Governance

Training &

- Awareness

- Develop and deliver data governance training programs for Business Units and Support Units.

- Design and maintain bank-wide e-learning modules covering data governance principles, policies, standards, and framework requirements.

- Conduct awareness initiatives to promote data ownership, stewardship, and accountability.

- Support onboarding and refresher training for Data Owners, Data Stewards, and other stakeholders.

- Monitor training participation and effectiveness.

- Identify opportunities to improve training content and governance awareness.

5.

Stakeholder

Management &

- Regulatory Support

- Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Technology Teams, Risk Management, Compliance, and Internal Audit.

- Act as a subject matter resource on data governance, metadata management, and data lineage practices.

- Facilitate communication and coordination across business and technology stakeholders.

- Support regulatory reviews, internal audits, and compliance assessments related to data governance and management.





- Assist stakeholders in addressing data governance observations and remediation requirements.

Continuous

Improvement &

- Data Governance Tools

- Identify opportunities to improve data governance processes, operating models, and governance controls.

- Promote automation and operational efficiency in metadata, lineage, and governance maintenance.

- Support the implementation, configuration, and enhancement of data governance platforms such as Collibra, Informatica, or equivalent tools.

- Drive improvements in metadata quality, lineage coverage, data ownership, and governance reporting.

- Contribute to the development of governance standards, procedures, and best practices.

Required Skills &

- Experience

- Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Metadata Management, or Data Lineage within the banking or financial services sector.

- Solid understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models.

- Hands-on experience with metadata repositories, business glossaries, data catalogs, and lineage documentation.

- Knowledge of Critical Data Elements (KDEs), Key Data Usage (KDU), data ownership, and data stewardship.

- Experience working with Data Owners, Data Stewards, technology teams, and regulatory reporting stakeholders.

- Familiarity with data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, IBM Watson Knowledge Catalog, or equivalent platforms.

- Understanding of data quality, regulatory reporting, and data management controls.

- Strong stakeholder management, communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

- Experience in developing training programs, e-learning content, or data governance awareness initiatives.

- Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
