About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Data Excellence Program (DEP) team at IQVIA in Bangalore. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale data capabilities that support our data-driven initiatives. As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, product owners, and data scientists, to build robust data pipelines, integrations, and data processing frameworks that enable trusted, governed, and reusable data assets across the organization.

Your expertise will directly contribute to enhancing our data platform, supporting analytics, AI applications, and business operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data engineering, cloud technologies, and application development, with a keen interest in AI-enabled data solutions. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a dynamic environment, leveraging the latest in data technology and best practices.





Qualifications To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a BTech, BCA, BSc, MTech, MCA, or MSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. Candidates should have 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a solid understanding of SQL/PLSQL, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.

Experience working with data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake is essential. Proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly Azure, and strong Python skills tailored to data engineering tasks are required. Familiarity with AI development concepts, including coding agents and Agentic AI, will be advantageous. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, along with experience working within Agile development frameworks.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrations, and data processing frameworks to support enterprise data needs.
- Design, build, and enhance components of the enterprise data platform and data foundation capabilities, ensuring scalability and robustness.
- Implement data models, transformations, and data quality controls to ensure accuracy and reliability of data assets.
- Create reusable services and APIs to facilitate seamless data access and integration across various systems.
- Collaborate with architecture and product teams to establish and adhere to enterprise data standards and best practices.




- Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support activities.
- Support modernization initiatives by leveraging cloud-based data platforms and applications.
- Contribute to metadata management, data governance, lineage, and semantic layer initiatives to enhance data transparency and compliance.
