– Data Centre Rack, Cabling & Physical Infrastructure Design Engineer

Education background: Electrical & / Electronics Engineering / ECE/ CSE

Experience: 5 to 15 years

Industry: Data Center / Electrical Projects

Location: India (Remote or Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

- - Have good understanding and expertise on GPU’s, Racks, designing elevation of racks, rack stack power cable implementation, deployment experience in high-density or cloud environments, GPU structures, Servers, network switches, leaf and spline, placement of servers, network, labelling cables, cable matrix and power consumption, addition of racks, Architecture diagrams,
- Working familiarity with GPU server topologies (NVIDIA GB 300 and B300, or custom high-density AI servers).
- Define cable routing, cable lengths, cable types and cable identification/colour coding, able labelling schemes and cable IDs. Exposure to various cables (DAC/AOC cables, fibre, Cat6A, console, power cables, patch cords)
- Design equipment connections, electrical-network cable routing, electrical and rack layouts. Prepare layouts that consists of panels, cabinets,



switchgear, UPS, PDU and other electrical equipment.
- Review equipment specifications and interface requirements, Validate rack space, power, cooling and connectivity requirements, Resolve design clashes and connectivity issues, Support installation and commissioning teams with engineering clarifications.
- Engineering Documentation: includes Rack elevation drawings, Equipment allocation drawings, Cabling topology diagrams, Point-to-point cable schedules, cable matrix, BOM, Rack-wise material schedules, Network connectivity documentation and As-built documentation
- Coordinate electrical layouts with civil, structural, mechanical , Data Centre Architects, MEP engineers, Network Engineers and IT/Infrastructure teams.

Required Skills

- - Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Visio
- Knowledge of Revit/Navisworks or 3D design tools is an advantage.
- Data center experience is preferred.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
