Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled GCP Data Architect with expertise in Google Cloud Platform, Data Architecture, Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, and Cloud Data Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms on GCP, enabling enterprise-wide analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement enterprise-scale data architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business requirements.
- Architect and build modern data platforms using BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, and BigLake.
- Design and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures.
- Define data ingestion, transformation, and integration patterns using ETL/ELT frameworks.
- Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives from legacy/on-prem platforms to GCP.
- Implement real-time and batch data processing solutions.
- Establish data governance, metadata management, lineage, data quality, and security standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, data engineers, and analytics teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Create architecture roadmaps, design documentation, standards, and best practices.
- Drive performance optimization, scalability, reliability,



and cost optimization initiatives across GCP data platforms.

Mandatory Skills

- 8-12 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Data Warehousing.
- Hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Strong experience with

- BigQuery

- Dataflow

- Cloud Composer (Airflow)

- Pub/Sub

- Cloud Storage

- Dataproc
- Strong Data Modelling skills (Conceptual, Logical, Physical).
- Experience in Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse architectures.
- Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
- Experience with ETL/ELT development and data integration frameworks.
- Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and data governance practices.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization of large-scale data solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

- GCP Qualified Data Engineer or Cloud Architect Certification.
- Experience with Terraform and CI/CD implementation.
- Exposure to Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Retail domains.
- Knowledge of Data Vault, Kimball, and Dimensional Modelling techniques.
- Exposure to real-time streaming architectures and event-driven platforms.

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Relevant GCP certifications will be an added advantage.
