Role Description The Data Annotator role is a part-time, remote position focused on producing high-quality labeled data for AI and machine learning projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and annotating text, images, audio, and video according to detailed guidelines, applying consistent labels and metadata, and following project-specific taxonomies and schemas.

Data Annotators will work inside client or internal annotation platforms, perform quality checks on their own work, and collaborate with project leads to clarify instructions and edge cases. The role also involves flagging ambiguous or risky content,



providing structured feedback on annotation guidelines, and maintaining productivity and accuracy targets aligned with strict quality assurance standards.

Qualifications

- Ability to accurately annotate and label multimodal data (text, image, audio, video) following detailed instructions and taxonomies.
- Strong attention to detail, consistency, and quality control, with the capacity to identify errors, ambiguities, and edge cases.
- Comfort working with annotation tools and platforms (e.g., CVAT, Label Studio, SuperAnnotate, V7) or similar web-based systems.
- Solid reading comprehension, analytical thinking, and basic familiarity with AI/ML concepts, especially data labeling and evaluation.
- Reliable time management skills to meet part-time project deadlines in a remote, independent work workplace.
- Clear written communication skills for reporting issues, documenting observations, and collaborating with project managers and SMEs.
- Experience with data annotation, quality assurance, linguistics, or domain-specific labeling (e.g., healthcare, finance, legal) is beneficial.
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills and bilingual or multilingual capability are a strong plus.
