About The Role

Ruder Finn India is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Analyst (Data Analyst III) to join its award-winning Emerging Technology & Analytics team. This pivotal role involves supporting the agency’s new business initiatives through comprehensive research activities, including earned media analysis, social listening, influencer identification, data modeling, and predictive analytics. The successful candidate will work closely with various account teams, providing expert counsel on research and analytics needs to enhance client strategies and outcomes.

This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate directly with the Chief Technology Officer based in New York, NY, on cutting-edge projects across consumer, technology, and healthcare sectors. The ideal candidate should possess a deep passion for data visualization, storytelling, and analytics, with the ability to connect insights to broader business objectives effectively. The position is fully remote, with adaptable working hours aligned to either IST or ET time zones, ensuring a work-life balance conducive to productivity and personal growth.

Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in business analytics, computer science,



marketing, psychology, advertising, or related fields. A minimum of four years of experience in an agency or in-house environment as a data or research analyst is required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in writing complex Boolean queries and operating data and media analytics tools such as Cision, Brandwatch, Rival IQ, Meltwater, Signal AI, and others.

Expertise in Excel, Google Sheets, Google Analytics, and data visualization platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio is essential, along with a solid understanding of SQL. Familiarity with AWS, Python, R, or other statistical computing languages is highly desirable.

Experience in data modeling, developing custom models, and working with large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT or Bard will be considered a strong advantage. Candidates should exhibit excellent problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and strong communication abilities in English, both verbal and written. Project management skills, adaptability, and a proven track record of delivering accurate results in a fast-paced environment are also critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities The Senior Data Analyst will undertake a variety of responsibilities to support the agency’s strategic objectives and client needs.

Key duties include

- Collaborating with the global Emerging Technology & Analytics team on research projects related to new business development and client mandates, involving sourcing, analyzing, and reporting data insights aligned with business goals.
- Providing comprehensive market and audience intelligence by conducting social and digital landscape analysis,



audience behavior studies, sentiment analysis, keyword research, search performance evaluation, and competitor analysis, including share of voice and message pull-through metrics.
- Designing and implementing measurement frameworks, setting up searches, and creating dashboards utilizing Boolean queries to facilitate real-time data monitoring and insights.
- Developing detailed client-facing reports and presentations that translate complex data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry tools, trends, and best practices in analytics and data visualization to continually enhance analytical capabilities.
